A visual identity and packaging design for the sweetest honey in Co. Meath.
Louise Naughton was approached by Farmer Tom to create the brand and identity for his honey Hey, Honey! Every year families come across the counties to visit Farmer Tom's pumpkin patch and farm in County Meath. In 2017 Tom built hives for bees all across his land and and started making his own honey.
The challenge was to create a playful brand personality and visual identity for Hey, Honey! that would have a whole family appeal.
Informed by the playful brand idea and Tom's story telling about his love of the bees, an identity was created by Studio Yay that uses a “family” of hand-drawn pencil illustrations of bees, complimented by custom hand lettering and hand written style typeface.
All elements are created to be reminiscent of childhood drawings and their stories. The minimal colour palette contrasts the quirkiness of the hand lettering and illustration, giving the design a subtle sophistication so the brand and product appeals to both parent and child.
